All of Ohio's ballot measures win except casino

Of the five statewide ballot issues, only the casino issue was defeated. None of those races were even close.

Obama takes Ohio

The New York Time just declared Obama the winner of Ohio's 20 electoral votes. That is the first of the battleground states to be called. The other four are very close and may not be called until late.

Obama now leads 138 to 17.

Obama takes Maine, New York; McCain takes Ala.

Obama has won Maine and New York, while McCain won Alabama.

Obama now leads 118 to 17. There are still 403 votes left and the popular vote is still very close despite Obama's large electoral lead.

Still, no upsets in the election

04 November 2008

Obama takes Penn.; leads 83 to 8

As expected, Obama took Pennsylvania.

Obama now leads 83 to 8 with 447 votes remaining.

Will there be any upsets this election? While Obama is leading in Ohio I still am predicting a McCain win here.

04 November 2008

Democrats take Senate

Democrats now have 51 Senate seats meaning they now control the Senate. They need nine more, however, for a filibuster-proof majority. Eighteen more seats are up for grabs and the GOP holds 31.

In the House race, the Dems are leading 60 to 38 with 337 seats still in play.

There have been no surprises in any congressional races so far.
