Obama's Latest Bow Should Sicken Every American

There he goes again.

On Saturday, President Barack Obama performed a deep bow when greeting the emperor and empress of Japan. The royal couple, of course, did not return the bow.

This sickens me to no end. Americans do not bow to foreign monarchs. EVER. This especially applies to the president.

Such bowing is a sign of subservience, not a sign of respect as Obama apparently thinks. Heads of state do not bow to each other. It is a breach of international protocol. In fact, if you look at this bow, the emperor and empress seem uncomfortable or mildly amused by Obama's despicable behavior.

Even beyond international protocol, it is distinctly un-American.

Open letter to Barack Obama

This is a letter written by Lou Pritchett, a former vice president at Procter & Gamble, to The New York Times.

As of Thursday, the Times has not published this letter, but it has been making the rounds on the Internet.

Snopes and other hoax-watching sites have confired this is a legitimate letter written by Pritchett. It states succinctly what many Americans are feeling these days.

I thought I would share it:

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. 

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. 

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. 

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American. 

Another Biden gaffe ...

I think if I were President Barack Obama, I would put a muzzle on Vice President Joe Biden.

On Thursday, Biden told a national TV audience he was urging his own family to stay off commercial airliners and out of subways for fear of catching the swine flu, a statement that went much further than any from the Obama administration.

Then it drew a quick rebuke from a travel industry fearing a wave of cancellations -- and an apology from the White House.

I don't think it is any secret that this country's media are pretty well in the liberal camp. President Barack Obama has received a high level of mild treatment from the American media. It is part of the reason I believe the United States has the worst media in the world.  They jump from one crisis to another and most coverage is fairly superficial. To get the real news of what is going on, here and abroad, I often turn to world media outlets such as the BBC (some of the finest reporting on the globe if you ask me) and the newspapers in London and Rome (OK, I read the Roman papers to practice my Italian).

So imagine my shock and amazement when I read this story from the AP fact checking Obama's ludicrous claims.

My only question is, how many U.S. papers actually ran this? Probably not many. I know The Lima News did not run it today.

FACT CHECK: Obama's job, deficit claims are iffy

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama turned the page on 100 days in office with an iffy boast about job creation and claims of fiscal prudence that are hard to square with his spending.

Obama spoke with abundant confidence about his chances for achieving the big-ticket items on his agenda despite economic calamity:

-His assertion that his proposed budget "will cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term" is an eyeball-roller for many economists, given the uncharted terrain of trillion-dollar deficits the government is negotiating.

-He promised vast savings from increased spending on preventive health care in the face of doubts that such an effort, however laudable it might be for public welfare, can pay for itself, let alone yield huge savings.

-He pitched a remedy for Social Security's long-term crisis that analysts say won't fix half the problem.

Obama held a prime-time news conference Wednesday and addressed citizens at an Arnold, Mo., high school, using both events to review progress at the 100-day mark and look ahead.

Sorry state of today's media

There is no clearer sign that the American media is useless than all the coverage given to this dog.

Give me a break! It is a dog! Two wars, a recession, pirates and all the media want to talk about is this stupid dog. I think Brian Williams was actually going to break into tears of joy for the Obama's.

What is worse is that none are even asking what the Obama's will do with the dog when he leaves office in 2013. I suspect, much like the Clintons did, they will be turning it over to a pound. The dog, after all, is clearly a political pawn. Otherwise, they would have had a dog long before now.

And is anyone else concerned about how long it took them to choose a dog? And I am wondering why the White House refused to allow the media talk to the trainer.

If I wanted to watch news stories about a dog, I would tune into the Animal Planet.

Let's see some real news for a change.

Unbelievable! Obama bows to foreign king!

Unbelievable!

President Barack Obama just bowed to the Saudi king. The president of the United States should never, ever bow to a foreign head of state, especially a monarch that rules in a tyrannical fashion.

This came after Michelle Obama violated protocol by touching the Queen of England.

By the way, Obama did not bow to Queen Elizabeth, but he did give her an iPod.

Doesn't he have a protocol adviser? And why the kowtow to the Saudi king but not the British queen, who happens to be our greatest ally? I can't even speculate what that means.

As I said before -- unbelievable!
