R.I.P. Tony Snow

I was devastated to hear the Tony died. He was like family to so many of us. I will miss him, but I know he is with God. Thanks for posting this, Tom. There is so much to be said about him, but I don't have the words.

Very very sad. I was having a great day until I learned a short time ago of Tony's passing. I hadn't realized that his condition was this serious... or at least hoped that it wasn't. I'm sick to know that I'll never hear him return to television or radio... was really looking forward to the day when I would.

Tony Snow was a great news reporter. He told the truth about the news. What a big lost to us Conservitives. He will be missed.

I hated it when Tony Snow left FOX news. Never missed him if I was near a TV. What a shame. And he was a year younger than me. And again I count my blessings. And say a prayer for his familly and people.

You all really don't have a clue of how corporate controlled media works do you? Tony Snow, or any of the mainstream media journalists, are not doing a public service. They lie to the American people and brainwash all of you. Think for yourself, while it's still legal!

I have read your posts, and if thinking for myself was anything near what I read from you most of the time...I'd put a freekin bullet in my brain. Has the word compassion EVER crossed that crooked little mind of your's? Let the man rest in peace.

Tony is a good man. He's a very nice, honorable man. He makes people who's had contact with him feel like family. He has answered every email I sent him...within minutes. As he was dying, he spoke of love for his family and America. He loved all people. The MSM barely mentioned his passing, but many liberal commentators called into Fox, with only praise for Tony. Tony's death hurt more than any politicians death in recent memory, not because of his politics, but because he is so genuine, kind, and loving toward everyone. He's one in a million.

I was also deeply saddened when Tim Russert died. My politics are the opposite of his. Even so, he was a good man who I respected. Eleanor, like most liberals, are full of hate, and everyone who doesn't agree with them are the enemy. That is what America is becoming.

Tony doesn't have a lying bone in his body. He's one of the few good men. He's a conservative, and that's why you guys hate him. I went to a few liberal sites, including DU, and what they said about him, puts them right up there alongside Rev. Phelps.

The MSM is 90% liberal, and don't even hide it, anymore. Tony Snow is admittedly a conservative and speaks for conservatism. You said he wasn't doing a service. He certainly was, not so much as spokersperson for the President, but as a commentator and by the way he lived his life. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone, including liberals. Fox News is not part of the MSM, and neither is Tony. You took a good man who recently passed away, and had to put a dig into him, what liberals do. I read the liberal blogs and how they trashed him. Only one blog with a liberal slant deleted trash posts, which was Arianna Huffington, who had nice things to say about him. Even she couldn't deny what a good guy Tony really is. I have no reservations that Tony is in Heaven, but I do about a lot of liberals who hate him because he has an "R" behind his name.

I am equaly upset with almost all of the mainstream media journalists, besides Lou Dobbs. You really need to investigate who own these corporate media agencies, what their interests are, and who runs them. I was ignorant to this at one point too. So please, don't insult me, I am only trying to inform you people. Many Americans have short attention spans due to many distractions. Don't you all recall a few years ago when it was accounced that the Bush regime paid 1.6M to commentators to push their agenda? Additionally, this is not a "left" "right" thing. I disagree. I completely agree with the MSM having bias. That much is proved. However, when it comes to commentators such as Tony Snow, et al., I think they are saying what they believe. There is no dearth of people with beliefs willing to express them so a MSM outlet looking for a conservative or liberal commentator will have no problem finding one so there would be no need to hire a person and then have them express opinions with which they don't believe.

And Dan, anyone freely expressing his or her opinion, such as Tony Snow, et al., clearly do "we the people" a favor, regardless of what their beliefs are. That is the core of a democracy, people publicly debating without killing each other.

While I did not necessarily agree with what Snow preached, I can't fault him for doing it.

I would like to know more about Eleanor's views on the 9/11 tradegy, I really do. I am under the impression that radical muslims killed those thousands of people on that dark day. Eleanor, please expand on that, cause you are starting to sound like one of those people that think our own government knew about it, and did nothing about it, or had a part in it.

Tony Snow was a conservative, nobody is arguing that. Tony gave his views and did not in my opionion try to act as if he was being down the middle of the road. You know what happens when you stand in the middle of the road, you get run over by an eighteen wheeler.

Tom Lecente wrote, R I P, Tony Snow. Tom probably did not always agree with him, but, I believe Lecente recognized that he was a man first of all, a moral man. God came first in his life then family and then his job at Fox News or the White House. Snow, weather you agree with his political views or not was a good man, he didn't have sex with an intern, lie, or cheat anyone. The point of this blog was to say goodbye to a man who dedicated his life to others and tried to make a difference. God Bless you Tony Snow.

I could care less what the French have to say about 911. They don't win many wars, do they? And the Germans have a new leader. Besides, I'm not interested in what foreign countries have to say about our country. They can barely keep their countries alive.

As for Slick Willie, he wasn't prosecuted for having sex. He was prosecuted for lying under oath in the Paula Jones trial. And, he was turning the WH into a WH, among the other things he and his wife did, and got a pass on. But, this isn't about him so...

And the USS Liberty? The U.S. did that, too? And, let's not forget the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Somalia, USS Cole, Beirut Embassy, Khubar Towers, and Riyadi, where Americans were killed. And, consider Clinton giving pardons to 16 FALN terrorists so his wife could get elected to the Senate. There were many more instances where the U.S. was attacked, and by not addressing those attacks sufficiently, we emboldened the terrorists.

You think you are the only one to research atrocities, but I assure you Eleanor, many of us do our own detective work. The familes asked that he be dismissed from the investigation, but Kean dismissed their requests.
Only certain members of the 9/11 comission, Jamie Gorlick (attorney general for the Clinton admistration) and Phillip Zelikow, were allowed to view classified documents from the White House and their notes would be subject to Bush admistration review.

One film that I would recommend all to see is 9/11 The press for truth. It's not a tinfoil hat type of film, but it interviews the family members of victims and goes into great detail regarding the 9/11 comission. Please watch this.

Good question, danimal. Where are all the people on those planes? Barbara Olson was on the one that flew into the Pentagon. She called her husband, Ted Olson, Solicitor General, and told him what was going on. To even hint that Bush knew about this, and helped cover it up is beyond the pale. I don't agree with President Bush on a lot of things, but believe he is a decent man.

On the otherhand, democrats were trashing Bush right out of the gate. They invented conspiracies when they knew there weren't any. Their point was to discredit him with any means possible. The Rockefeller Memo proves that. In the memo, Rockefeller, in effect, told his party to make mountains out of molehills, to go after Bush on any rumor or innuendo. Google the Memo and see for yourself.

It's one thing to disagree with Bush on policy, quite another to hate and try to destroy him because he is a republican.

The thing I can't get across, maybe I am not explaining it well, is that the family members of 9/11 have created this movement, not Michael Moore or Rosie O'Donnell. The American side. The last name is Botkins. They were Irish and their name was changed somewhere down the road. The settled in Virginia for a long time then to Ohio. The town Botkins was name after my family. My family tree runs real deep here in the US.

You have roots in Virginia, thats were Iam from. I believe as Americans we all have the right to different opionions, and have a right to express them, freedom of speach thing. This blog is a great way to express those opionions. I however disagree with you, I don't doubt your love of country, but, I don't understand when groups say Bush/Cheney knew of the 9/11 attacks and let it happen. If they knew that then it would be in my humble opionion pure evil. I have many disagreements with Bush, but to think he knew it and let so many people die, I just can't get there. Do you in your heart really believe that Americans in the government knew of the attacks and let fellow Americans die in such a horrible death. I remember were I was when it happened, I was working on a bridge in Hancock county and will not forget it. We were attacked by an enemy outside of this country that wants to defeat us, I seen the videos of the be-headings of Americans, they are gresome, it made my stomach turn.
