Sheriff Beck planning October surprise?

Tom, why has the Lima News not published the oft mentioned e-mail Beck authored prohibiting his employees from any political activity? I do have a copy and am more than willing to share it.
You hit the nail on the head. Beck will endorse Hoverman and then continue to run his mouth over some superbly superfluous b.s. mthat amounts to nothing. I can tell you that Brentlinger made the statement (yes there are witnesses) that whoever Beck endorses for sheriff will win; and Beck agreed.
What vile, contemptuous, gutter trash this man and his minions are. I know, i use to work for the arseholes.

I believe The Lima News has published the e-mail and the several letters Beck has written to Crish online. I also believe we have quoted the e-mail and letters extensively in various stories and editorials.

I was bragging them up. Think of what i could have said and still been right.

Now pay attention tomorrow when he does his [press conference]. While he's trying to think up another lie or back up his first one, his brain and mouth go into misfires.
One just can't seem to sync with the other. The other tell tell sign is the obvious......his lips are moving.

Tom, check if you would. I read the Lima News daily and have not seen the full text of the infamous e-mail printed in the pages. It has been on the blogs pretty continuously, but thats not as large an audience as we need. People need to see what a hypocrite Beck is and the more the better.

If Beck comes out with some kind of charges of past wrong doing by Sam, that would mean Beck had previous knowlage of it and would make him guilty of not comming forward that knowlage.
Dan Beck is and always has been a "do as I say, Not as I do" kind of egotistical selfrightious totalitarian dictator of a sheriff. Not very good traits in a public servant. Yes DAN ,...you ARE a servant.Too bad you never have understood that. And comming forward now will just show the voters that you can't be trusted to do the right thing ever, unless it has some benefit for you.
I have witnessed Dan Beck leer at my wife and her 80 something mother when he was on his rant about ilegal aliens. Just because they were mexicans. Even followed them through the store we were at one time. You should have seen the fire in his eyes when my mother-in-law spoke something in Spanish. (and she has been a citzen of the USA longer than he has been alive.) If I worked for this moron, I would have laughed at his attempt to impose a gag order and backed whoever I wanted in the race for sheriff. Then sued his butt off if he took any steps to curtail my freedom of speech. This guy is a nut case, pure and simple. He sees his grasp on the office slipping away because Sam won't be his puppet. Then when he is NOT elected mayor, he can move back to were he came from and let this city go on with it's buisness.

danimal; go get 'em tiger. This could be Becks swan song. I hope so. Lets get the contemptuous, meddling, self righteous s.o.b. out of Allen County politics and out of our lives. He has done more to blemish law enforcement in Allen County than anyone before him.

So, he comes out at the news conference tomorrow afternoon and says that in light of bad information, he apologizes to Crish and is backing him instead of Hoverman. Wouldn't that be a freekin' hoot?

Tom, Danimal: make sure you check out this mornings Lima News; specifically the bottom right corner of page A4. Not only is the add full of out and out fabrications, but in the bottom right hand corner.........its paid for by Hoverman for sheriff. I see a political add on Allen County Sheriffs Office stationary. The man truely has neither clue nor conscience. Lies, lies and more lies. The Patrol and Uniform divisions are one and the same; not separate entities as Beck would have all believe. Lt. Allen has run the jail for several years now without Hovermans oversight. I'm sure all these new responsibilities are news to Hoverman. Hoverman wouldn't know an inmate from a corrections officer if it wasn't for those little striped uniforms.

If Beck alleges Crish did anything illegal, it would make him complicent. It is his job to arrest Crish for any wrong doing. So, all it could be is invented dirt, that Beck has wallowed in himself. Beck had a plan, and his plan didn't pan out. Now, he is angry, and since he doesn't have Shreefer to do his dirty work, he gets to make the absolute fool of himself. This is the Beck that always was, but was mostly hidden. He has spent 16 years trashing decent people, and he's the most indecent of them all.

How about an article clairfing Beck's lie about the deadline to lsubmit letters to the editor. He states that the deadline was 10/22/08 when in todays paper it clearly states that the deadline for letters was 4:00 today. You need to point that out as beck lied to get this letter in as an ad.

Also Joh Arnold is head of the jail division not hoverman and Gene King is in charge of the unform dividion not Hoverman another lie by Beck.

I don't believe The Lima News published the letters and e-mail verbatim in the newspaper, but I am pretty sure we put them online. I know I personally put the two letters online and I saw an e-mail directing that the e-mail be put online as well. I can't say for certain that it was ever put online, but I don't see why it would not have been.

Also, we would never have published such a thing verbatim in the paper. However, we have quoted from them extensively and reprinted the pertinent parts of the e-mail in the paper in stories and editorials.

OK...had to work all day. I read that 'letter' in the paper this morning! What a freekin joke. Thats the stupidest letter ever written. First of all, when was the last time you wrote a formal letter to someone you see on a regular basis....and tell them everything about them self that they already know?
Beck falsley stated Hoovermans job duties, among other things. And to hear the folks I personaly know (at ACSO) talk, it seemed to be common knowlage at the ACSO that Hooverman was passed over because Beck didn't feel he was qualified to be Major.

sheriff endorsed cap hoverman...along with some people who dont even live in allen county...

when questioned why, after supporting maj crish did he change his mind he said it was an "honesty issue" and when pressed on exactly what he meant he went back to residency and voting record...

As an ex-employee of Beck…………..if he isn’t the lyingest, most deceitful, underhanded arsehole i’ve ever met; he’s still ahead of the guy in second place.
Hoverman is not now, nor has he ever been in charge of the Patrol and Uniform Divisions; which by the way are one and the same. He has never been in charge of the jail division. Ask LT. John Allen; he knows the truth. That is and has been Allens for many years now.
Interesting how Beck had to write and publish a letter so he could remind Hoverman (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) what his duties were.
Explain to me why, as head of all those divisions, Hoverman was NOT ALLOWED to do any internal investigations. And Beck, you lying s.o.b. we know Hoverman was passed over twice for Major and was mad as a wet hen when Jerry Morris got acting Major in charge when Beck went out of town. Hoverman was scheduled for termination, not once, but twice for his philandering and incompetency.
Something else as disturbing if not more……..how can Gene King set idly by and remain quiet as a stump through all this. I guess it really is “birds of a feather”. Hey Gene…go back 25 years. Does the name Steed ring a bell?
More later……….they are really starting to get under my skin. And, they know i know. Crish is the only viable candidate. Hovman is a flunky and a puppet. Beck is Gipetto and Hoverman is Pinocchio.
And, the best Beck and Hoverman can do in the law enforcement arena is to bring John Lenhart from Shelby County and some cop from Jackson Center to endorse Hoverman. Folks, remember that Lenhart is the same cronie of Beck who investigated Clayton Bacon. By the way, Bacon beat all of their charges and allegations. They were lying then and they are lying now; it hasn't stopped.

I like your style man. When Beck is gone and Moe Magnus gets booted out, this city and county have a real chance at building a workable team....still the little matter of repacing the 6th and 7th ward guys with somebody that can think past black and white, but it's a start.

On the occasion of Becks endorsing Hoverman, Beck made a statement printed in the Lima News. That statement is reprinted here for your perusal.
Beck said, “”I got tired of the letters to the editor from people who had never been sheriff.”
Okay Dan, guess that means the only people you allow to write “Letters to the Editor” are Clay Cotterman, Ed Fair, Charlie Harrod; all ex-sheriffs and notably deceased. Per your edict, everyone else…….just shut your pie holes. Well, that is everyone but your John Brentlinger (who isn’t now nor has he ever been a cop).
13 retired law enforcement officers (all from Allen County Sheriffs Office and the Lima Police Department), an Allen County prosecutor and a very known and respected attorney stand behind and endorse Sam Crish. There was over 500 years of experience standing on those steps.
You call a news conference to endorse Hoverman and bring in a washed up sheriff from Shelby County, a Chief of Police from Jackson Center and some other individuals who have never seen the inside of a police cruiser, never been cops………what is up with that. Thats a lot of pull there Dan (NOT).
Are you that paranoid that its clouding your judgement? Obviously…yes.

Wasn't Becks brother sent to prison for dealing drugs? He with Mike Dimond and Tim Gottie owned the Green Lantern.A bar in the alley in downtown Lima. Latter known as Brandys. Becks brother took the rap for all three when he was caught and sentenced to two or three years in prison.Maybe this is where Sheriff Becks get his money.
