Then I told her now that you have worked so hard getting all that candy it is only fair that you take it back to Alger and give it to the less fortunate people who didn't want to take the time to get off their butts to work to get the candy. My daughter said,"WHAT!! No Way!! Are you crazy mom?". Now, she wasn't "selfish". She did share some, but she wanted to decide who received her hard earned candy. She wasn't going for someone else telling her who to give it to. This is the simplest form of redistribution and even a nine year old could figure it out! It doesn't take a genius, does it?
