To All:
The popular vote was much closer than I expected. The Dems got out the vote and should be commended for that. More people voted. Many voted for Obama because he is black. Many voted for McCain because Obama is black. One is as bad as the other.
What we all must do now is stop the bickering, and welcome the Pres. Of the USA. We have a bigger job to do now. And that is to pull together as America, as only we can make a differance. Racism took a big hit last night. Is not that one of our goals?
Many voters, from all walks of life, see hope in this man. We, as Americans, are obligated to accept what We the People have decided. You don't have to like it. But it is our DUTY. Lets make the best of it, and try to improve things before the next election.
Congratulations Pres. Obama...Anything will most probably be better than Bush.
One thing I am sure of, B. Obama can not deliver on all those things promissed, (or threatened). The next four years will tell the tail people. Neither you nor I alone can make much differance, so it's high time we pull together with what we have.

WOW! We really are asleep. We the People are obligated to protect the Constitution, not vote tyrants into office. We are not obligated to welcome someone who is unwelcome. Very unAmerican! I refuse to welcome evil.
BTW, if you really think that "the people have spoken" then you are wrong. This election cycle was staged from the beginning.

I hate how the second the election was over, the media (and everyone else) starts saying such glowing things about John McCain.. "What a class act" etc... things they wouldn't have dared say during the election, but now that their hero, Obama, has won the election, they'll suddenly act like they haven't been complete you know whats to McCain throughout this whole campaign.
I also hate it when people expect all the McCain supporters to be happy about the outcome, and if we can't be happy, we are at least expected to smile and fake it. Sorry...but I'm not happy about it and I'm not going to fake it. We had EXTREMELY legitimate concerns about Obama before last night, and now that he has won, those concerns haven't suddenly disappeared. He is still just as scary this morning as he was yesterday and while I will always support my country and do my part to help this country improve, I'm not going to blindly turn off all my concerns now that the election is over.

Happy G,
Did you really think that McCain, would have put
strict constructionists on the SCOTUS, any judge
of that stripe would have beaten his red headed
step-child the McCain/Finegold bill to death.
He also had no problem with Ginburg's appointment
to the bench..

Obama takes Maine, New York; McCain takes Ala.
Obama has won Maine and New York, while McCain won Alabama.
Obama now leads 118 to 17. There are still 403 votes left and the popular vote is still very close despite Obama's large electoral lead.
Still, no upsets in the election
