Light of Liberty blog update

Simpsons

I just wanted to touch base with the readers of this blog to go over a few features, some new, some old, that will make your visit more enjoyable.

First, if you are not a member, you should consider joining. Membership, while not necessary, lets you post comments without having to enter all your information every time. It also allows you to avoid the captcha and you can post to items that are older than 30 days without having to wait for that comment to be approved. You can register by clicking the link under the login box or by clicking here.

Second, you can also subscribe to this blog via e-mail. In the right column, there is an e-mail subscription box. If you sign up, you will get, at most, one e-mail a day, usually between 9 and 11 a.m. containing all my blog posts from the previous 24 hours. Some of you have already found this feature. You can sign up at the right or by clicking here.

Third, I have changed the RSS feed address for this blog. You can now subscribe to my RSS feed at http://feeds.lucente.org/LightOfLiberty. If you are not using an RSS reader, you are missing out. I use Google Reader to keep track of hundreds of Web sites and blogs. It is a convenient way to monitor a large number of Web sites. Also, I have an RSS feed for user comments at http://feeds.lucente.org/lucente/Lnis. That feed lets you keep track of user comments without having to keep coming back to the blog to new comments.

Fourth, I can be followed on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/ThomasLucente. On the right menu of this blog is a Twitter widget, which shows my most recent posts on Twitter.

Fifth, if you are on Facebook, feel free to friend me, just make sure you tell me you follow this blog in your friend request. My profile page is at http://www.facebook.com/people/Thomas-J-Lucente-Jr/604555483.

Sixth, there is a box of suggested reading on the right. I update it quite frequently with interesting things I find on the Web. Be sure to check that often. You might find things of interest.

Seventh, I added a link at the bottom of each blog post that gives you the opportunity to share any post at a number of other Web sites, including Facebook, Digg, e-mail, text message, etc. Feel free to share my posts. In fact, please share my posts! smile

As always, if you encounter any problems, let me know. I can't fix what I don't know is broken.

That's a lot of work for your 5 loyal readers. (And geesh, you could just talk to your wife!)

RSS feed= "Please, please somebody read my blog. I'm really smart.

MrTorch (aka jackass),

I would say that my numbers speak for themselves, much like your behavior on forums speaks for itself.

Tommy,

What number is that? #98? Hehe, you're just ticked that at my recommendation some other blog jumped in 50 slots higher.

And say, aren't you the one who claimed he never used personal attacks?

My, my...

And such an original insult too. I guess you rank as low in "creativity" as you do "rational thought".

Bye Dreamboat. Enjoy your furlough. I guess the market has spoken.

Jackass,

First, the list is in no particular order and I am simply happy to be on the list. I certainly would not have included my blog on a list of top 100 sites. So, I am not "ticked" at anything.

Second, calling you a jackass is not a personal attack, it is an accurate observation.

And third, yes the market has spoken. I have no problem with that.

Anything else stupid you want to say? Odd, most of the grads of Shawnee appear to me to actually have some critical thinking skills. I guess you must have slipped through the cracks. But, what should I expect from someone who thinks he is a scientist, yet ignores most basic scientific tenets.

Drtorch,
sheesh dude, lighten up. It is an accomplishment that Tom is in the 100 blog thing.
Hell, we can't all be number one at what we do. If anyone thinks we are in the top 100 antthing in this world, it's a good thing. Unless it's top 100 jackasses of course.
